Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: August, 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms and Conditions apply to memberships and event registrations purchased from
Professional Women's Group Zürich ("PWG", "we", "us") through www.pwg-zh.com.
Professional Women's Group Zürich
Himmelsbergstrasse 12
8617 Mönchaltorf
Switzerland
Event-specific information displayed before purchase forms part of the agreement and takes priority if it differs from these terms. PWG's statutes govern the formal rights and obligations of association members.
2. Orders and payment
By completing checkout, you submit a binding order and confirm that the information supplied is correct. The agreement is concluded when PWG sends a confirmation or activates the membership.
Prices are shown in Swiss francs and include applicable taxes, if any. Payment is due at checkout using the offered payment methods. Payments are processed by Stripe and may also be subject to Stripe's terms.
3. Membership
PWG membership currently costs CHF 150 and is valid for one year from the purchase date, unless stated otherwise at checkout.
Membership does not renew automatically. Members can purchase a new one-year membership after their current membership expires.
Memberships and member accounts are personal and may not be shared or transferred.
Members must keep their login details secure.
Members may resign in accordance with PWG's statutes by contacting
privacy@pwg-zh.com.
Unless required by law or PWG's statutes, ending a membership early does not entitle the member to a proportional refund.
PWG may suspend or terminate a membership for non-payment, serious misconduct, harassment, misuse of member information, or a material breach of these terms or PWG's statutes.
4. Events, cancellations, and refunds
Event places may be limited. A registration is confirmed once PWG issues confirmation and, where required, receives payment. Tickets are generally non-refundable but may be transferred to another person. Any event-specific cancellation, refund, or ticket-transfer conditions displayed before purchase form part of the agreement.
PWG may reasonably change a speaker, programme, time, format, or venue. To the extent permitted by law, PWG is not responsible for travel, accommodation, childcare, loss of earnings, or other indirect costs resulting from a change or cancellation.
5. Conduct
PWG aims to provide a professional, respectful, and inclusive environment. Harassment,
discrimination, intimidation, unlawful behaviour, aggressive sales activity, or misuse of another
person's contact information is not permitted.
Member-directory or attendee information may not be scraped, sold, added to bulk mailing lists, or used for unsolicited mass communications. PWG may refuse admission or remove a participant where reasonably necessary for safety or serious misconduct.
6. Photographs and recordings
PWG may photograph or record events as explained in the Privacy Policy. Participants who do not wish to appear should inform the organiser or photographer.
Commercial recording, livestreaming, or systematic recording of presentations requires prior
permission from PWG and the relevant speaker.
7. Content and intellectual property
Website and event content is provided for general information and professional development. It is not individual legal, medical, financial, tax, or other professional advice. PWG does not guarantee any particular result from membership, networking, or event participation.
Unless otherwise stated, PWG or the relevant rights holder owns the website, branding, event materials, photographs, and recordings. They may not be reproduced or used commercially without permission.
8. Liability
PWG is liable in accordance with Swiss law. To the extent legally permitted, PWG excludes liability for slight negligence and indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for intent or gross negligence.
Participants are responsible for their personal belongings and for deciding whether an event activity is suitable for them.
9. Circumstances beyond PWG's control
PWG is not responsible for delays, changes, or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, such as extreme weather, venue closure, transport disruption, public-authority measures, or supplier failure. If such circumstances materially affect an event, the options set out in Section 4 apply. PWG is not responsible for participants' related costs, such as travel or accommodation.
10. Privacy
PWG processes personal data as explained in its Privacy Policy:
www.pwg-zh.com/privacy-policy.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by Swiss law. The courts at PWG's registered seat have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory jurisdiction available under applicable law.
If one provision is invalid, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
